How to Bring the Boba Tea Shop Home Pt 2 (Ten Ren Milk Tea at Home)
Whenever I am in NYC or Asia, I always stop by Ten Ren for my King’s Milk Tea. It has such a unique taste and I’m obsessed with it. I bought tea bags of the King’s Tea when I was in NYC, but it did not make a good milk tea. I recently found the loose leaf King’s tea being sold online and I had to buy it. I notice they sell different grades of tea, and I saw on the Ten Ren menu that they use the 913 King’s Oolong tea.
In the past, whenever I make tea I end up with a lot of dishes; I recently came across a product on Amazon that made the process less of a pain. If you have been brewing a lot of tea at home, I recommend that you get a tea maker like this one:
What I like about this tea maker is that it can brew 2 cups of tea at a time, so it’s perfect for whenever Ernie visits. If you really want to go all out, I also recommend getting a kitchen scale. I noticed when I get new teas, the brewing instructions use grams instead of teaspoons. Also if you are a baker, a kitchen scale if very useful. Don’t even dare make macarons without a scale!
