“The Theme Park in Hong Kong” – Ocean Park Part 1

Hong Kong Ocean Park

About Ocean Park:

Ocean Park was the only theme park in Hong Kong back when HK had no Disneyland. As a result, this is the theme park to go to when tourists are visiting Hong Kong. Before the 2000s, my parents took me to Ocean Park as a kid, and the only thing that I could remember is that we had a good time in the theme park. Ocean Park offers an aquarium, animal exhibits, and amusement rides.

How Did We Get There?

During our trip to Asia, we used the Klook app to buy tickets for different attractions. In this case, is no different for Ocean Park. The Klook app offers discounts on park tickets depending on which countries you are in. The Ocean Park tickets were cheaper than the Disneyland tickets in Hong Kong. We got there by using public transportation in Hong Kong, we utilized the metro to get to Ocean Park.

Arrived at Ocean Park

Hong Kong Ocean Park has two parts separated by a large mountain, which is connected by cable car so visitors could travel between both to access different attractions. The cable car can be seen in the picture below, it is located on the mountain.

This is what it looks like after getting through the gate

The Ocean Park at first looks more refurbished comparing to the older memories I had of Ocean Park. There are lots of new things at first, as we noticed there are lots of new food and drink stalls. The Grand aquarium can be seen as the blue egg shape building.

I just needed to have a picture of me right in front of Ocean Park entrance 😀

Right after the entrance, we notice a well-decorated area of gifts shops and food stalls.

The foods and drinks stall are contemporary

We are surprised that Ocean Park offered mulled wine!! We both love mulled wine and found the one at Ocean Park to be quite delicious. In addition to the mulled wine, they also have hard liquor, beers, and different cocktails.

That’s what we have for part.1. On part 2 we will have more on the exhibit, and the aquarium of the Ocean Park. Oh and we need to talk about the excessive line cutting…..Stay tuned for part 2 of our adventure in Ocean Park !!!
